I have a tree on my house or other insurance covered structure, but I don't have a contractor, what should I do?
See this map to find the closest contractor to you. We believe its safe to say any contractor within 50 miles of your location would be available to assist you!
What is indemnification, and how does it apply to me?
Indemnification (or Indemnity): An undertaking by one party (the indemnifying party or carrier) to compensate the other party (the indemnified party or homeowner) for certain costs and expenses, typically stemming from third-party claims (contractor).

Indemnification is the right to receive compensation and potentially have your mitigation and repair expenses paid for if you experience a loss or damage covered by your insurance. However, compensation will only be to the limit of your set policy.
What documents should I expect to be signing?
If you are connected with one of our pre-qualified contractors, you can expect to sign a document with multiple sections. The three sections that people generally have the most questions on are:
AOB (Assignment of Benefits) – a contract that allows us to communicate and work directly with the insurance carrier regarding the emergency tree removal service.
PTC (Permission to Contact) – gives your signed permission for us to communicate with the insurance carrier on your behalf for the emergency tree removal service. It also allows for your carrier to share necessary policy information and documentation directly with us.
DTP (Direction to Pay) – The Policy Holder giving signed permission for the insurance carrier to send payment directly to Global Insurance Billing for the emergency tree removal service.

Should I, as a homeowner, expect to pay for emergency tree removal services out of my pocket?
Even though the bill is technically yours, your insurance company’s responsibility is to indemnify you within the limits of your policy. (See definition of indemnification) We pursue the insurance company for direct payment from the beginning. We do this in an attempt to keep the financial burden off of you up front, so you do not have to seek indemnification later.
Deductible: If the carrier applies the deductible to the emergency tree invoice, you will be responsible for paying that amount.
When should I expect to hear from Global Insurance Billing after my emergency tree removal service is preformed?
If an emergency tree removal service has been provided to you by one of our prequalified contractors, you can expect to hear from us within 24 business hours. From there, you may hear from us periodically as we give updates, or as we need your assistance in the process. Should you need to speak with us, or ask questions you can reach out to us at any time.
